Teach Us the Bible ("we", "us", or "our") operates teachusthebible.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights regarding that data.

What Data We Collect

Account data

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored as a one-way hash). For Ministry Edition organizations, we also collect the organization name and contact information provided during signup.

Usage data

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on site, browser type, and approximate location (country/region). This data does not identify you personally.

With your consent, we also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The Pixel collects your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, and sets a browser identifier cookie (_fbp). This data is sent to Meta and used for ad attribution and targeting.

When a Ministry Edition subscription is purchased, we additionally send a purchase event to Meta via their Conversions API (server-to-server). This includes a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address, the subscription value, and your IP address and browser type at the time of purchase. Your email address cannot be recovered from this hash. This data is used solely to measure whether our advertising led to a subscription.

How We Use Your Data

  • Account data is used to provide the service, send lesson-related emails you request, and contact you about your subscription.
  • Analytics data (with consent) is used to understand how the curriculum is being used and improve the site.
  • Advertising cookies (with consent) allow Google to serve ads that help us keep the curriculum free for everyone.
  • Meta Pixel data (with consent) is used to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram ads. If you purchase a Ministry Edition subscription, we send a hashed version of your email address and the purchase amount to Meta via their Conversions API to confirm that our advertising resulted in a subscription.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
